7 Valentines Day Activities Your Man Won't Hate

I surveyed all the guys I knew and asked for their input on Valentines Day activities they actually enjoyed. Many had to take a moment to think about it as they’d never been asked this question before. Some felt Valentines Day was a waste of time and money, some were all for it and wanted to shower the women in their lives with affection, but nonetheless, they all provided insight on the top things they’d like to do for Valentines Day. Here are the 7 Valentines Day Activities Your Man Won’t Hate.

1. Grab a Bite to Eat

There seems to be a lot of truth to the term, “the quickest way to a man’s heart is through his stomach”. 90% of the men I surveyed mentioned consuming some form of food as a Valentines Day activity that they enjoy. This included going to fancy dinners, happy hour, having a home cooked meal, trying a cool new restaurant, cooking together, or just visiting your favorite usual spot. Nonetheless, seems like guys will just be happy if you feed them.

2.  See a movie, show, or concert

Runner up for the most suggested date that these guys would actually enjoy was going to the movies (to see Deadpool preferably). Some guys suggested seeing a concert or Broadway play, but even those guys would be happy with a simple movie. (Brownie points if you feed him first).

3. Sexy Time

No need to explain what that means. If you’re looking to save some money, you can just stay in and “enjoy each other’s company”… I don’t know about you, but I’m a little surprised this wasn’t higher on this list. Guess these guys don’t only have one thing on their mind. Oh wait, yes they do, it’s food.

4. Try Something New

Whether that means simple things like exploring new places in your area, sightseeing and visiting landmarks or more extravagant things like shooting deadly weapons at the gun range, helicopter rides over the city or test driving $200,000 cars, these guys just want to do something they’ve never done before.

5. Getaway

According to the guys in my survey, nothing’s better than eating food, except eating food in a new place. Many of the guys suggested taking a weekend trip to somewhere you’ve never been before.

6. Do a guy thing

Just as girls want to be showered with gifts and affection, guys want gifts and affection their way. 7 Valentines Day Activities Your Man Won't HateThe shooting range, expensive car test drives, and watching Deadpool all also count as “guy things” according to my fiance.

7. Spend time together

Ultimately, all of the guys in the survey wanted to do some sort of activity with their significant other. Whether leaving the house to do something new, or staying in to cuddle, everyone just wanted to be with the women they loved.

So don’t sweat it, if he’s with you, he won’t hate it.

Do these date ideas sound great, but too far out of reach? I’d suggest checking out Groupon.com for restaurant and/or getaway deals. For concerts, shows, and sporting event, you can try your luck with stubhub.com, where people sell tickets they already have and aren’t planning to use, sometimes for a cheaper price. For discount movie tickets, my fiance and I always buy tickets to our favorite movie theater from BJ’s. For the theater we like to go to (Regal Cinemas), we’re able to get 2 movie ticket and a $10 concession stand voucher for $25. Regular price tickets cost about $11 per person, without Bj’s we’d be spending $22 just on 2 tickets. Can you say deal?!?

No matter what you do, remember that Valentines Day is just a day to show the people you love that you love them. You don’t have to do anything elaborate. As long as you’re together, your guy will love it.

Does your guy have ideas that didn’t make the list? Leave them below in the comments! We can all benefit from more ideas.

Happy Valentines Day!
