Chapstick Challenge | Lip Balm Challenge

My husband and I tried the chapstick challenge to see who could guess the most chapstick flavors correctly just by scent. Needless to say, I won, even though he cheated! We tried many of our favorite brand’s lip balms including Jolly Rancher, Airheads, Trix, Swedish fish, and more… but many of them didn’t do the scents any justice.

LETTING THE PERSON IN FRONT OF US DECIDE WHAT WE EAT

We ordered what the car in front of us ordered and let’s just say it was a mixture of wins and fails. LOL. Watch and see!

Happy Thanksgiving – Part II

spark

The most valuable things I have in my life are my relationships with others.  I have wonderful relationships with mentors, networking groups, and friendships with talented and brilliant women. I’m so grateful to the people in my life who invested in me. All of these relationships have pushed me to always put my best foot forward and reach new heights.  Without them, I would not be the person that I am today. I’m sure the same is true for them. Someone in their lives invested in them and pushed them to be better, and they’ve paid it forward by pushing me. (more…)

Happy Thanksgiving – Part I

Now that November is here and Thanksgiving is approaching, I’ll be doing a series on the thing I’m currently most grateful for: community.

I’m eternally grateful for the people who are in my life and the ways in which they’ve blessed me. Today, November 6th, 2015, the official one year mark to the day of my wedding, it’s only right to start this series off by thanking my  community of supportive family and friends.

By this time next year, I will be on my way down the aisle to marry the love my life. We’ve been engaged for almost a year now and lots of the wedding plans are already complete thanks to the help of our family and friends. We were gifted so many things to make our dreams come true and know that none of it would be possible without the moral, financial, and physical support of our family and friends. (more…)

25 Rules!

On July 24th, 2014, I turned 25 years old. We celebrated in beautiful Miami, FL and I had the time of my life – thus far. Most women don’t like talking about their age but I couldn’t be happier to be 25 years old. For once I feel like I’ve finally caught up to the number that I’m supposed to be. I’ve always considered myself mature for my age, but 25 feels like a perfect fit. I feel like I’m right where I want to be in life for this age. I’ve accomplished so much, made many mistakes and learned so much, and have grown so much in the 25 years that I have been on this earth.
So to honor my 25 years of life, I will share with you (in no particular order) the 25 rules I live by and why… maybe you can learn from a few of my mistakes as well 🙂
  1. Be kind

Everyone is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Don’t make it harder on them. I personally, get no joy out of treating others badly. In fact, I’m so ridden with guilt when I’m mean to someone, that I’m sure I suffer more than the person I was mean to.
